About the founder.

FooodDude launches with first food truck Belinda’s.

Brendan hails from an entrepreneurship background. His father and mother both are very successful entrepreneurs in their own right. Brendan was born and raised in La Jolla, CA. He attended Southern Methodist University, where he played linebacker on the football team. He received his B.A. from SMU in 2012. From there, he spent 3 years working in financial planning post graduation. He then transitioned to working for his father's Agriculture Technology firm, Ahern Agribusiness. While working for AA, Brendan lived and worked throughout Mexico, executing his business in Spanish. In 2018, Brendan received his M.B.A. from The Rady School of Management at UC San Diego. While at Rady, he cultivated his vision for what would become FooodDude. At the end of 2018, Brendan founded AMV, Inc which has evolved into FooodDude. From that point, he has worked tirelessly to get the company to where it is today. Brendan believes in uplifting people, putting smiles on peoples faces. So he was determined to give people what they want: hot, fresh, restaurant-quality food, at a reasonable price, served fast.

About the food truck.

Belinda's

Belinda has been in the restaurant industry her whole life. She has always had a strong passion for cooking and serving people. Belinda was a waitress in La Jolla for over 25 years, serving and managing at both John's waffle shop and Harry's coffee shop. In 2005, she started her catering business by selling at the La Jolla Farmers market every sunday. From there Belinda was able to get her food into UCSD and SDSU.

You can find Belinda and her family serving their delicious authentic Mexican food every Tuesday at UCSD and Thursday at SDSU, as well as La Jolla Farmers market on Sundays. We also sell at Viejas Arena for all concerts and SDSU Men's basketball games.

After 10 years of catering all over San Diego county we are pleased to be opening our first permanent location in Spring Valley.
